Weaving since 1977

FABWEAVES was founded by Bernadette Francis who was
born in Montserrat, a little British Territory in the Caribbean Islands that is the host to the Soufriere Hills Volcano.

As a wife, proud mother and grandmother, her passions grew from cooking, baking, sewing, bookkeeping, ministering, researching, weaving textile and manufacturing products for a healthy lifestyle.

1996-2014
Leading Workshops

I spent the first 35 years of my life in Montserrat before moving to Antigua in 1996 with my family where we spent 18 years until 2014.

Whilst in Antigua, I launched a small cottage industry business from my home. This developed into a thriving business specialised in using 100% natural fibre sea island cotton and linen yarn.

With my family, we migrated to the UK to gain  certified business qualifications to boost my business… and it did.

40years of Textile Expertise

As a textile weaver for over 40 years, I worked in the cotton industry in Montserrat for 12 years supervising and teaching the trainees, whilst designing and weaving textiles such as, place-mats, napkins, shawls, scarves etc

1996-2014

In 2004, I decided to locks my hair to keep it natural and started researching techniques to maintain the health and strength of my hair.

I realised that being natural and healthy requires dedication and reliability, as well as knowledge of how to develop healthy relationships with people to gain their trust.
In a short space of time, My hair began to grow longer and beautiful 

Then one day I developed painful spurs in my right heel. I was given several options for treatment but was not comfortable applying them, so I decided to inquire of God what to do.

There was a flashing light of inspiration and that’s how a vision of becoming a beauty & massage therapist was soon to become a reality in my life.

 Very soon, I came across some information on how to produce 100% natural home-made remedies for different ailments using essential oils. I was  delighted and enlightened!

Fabweaves Enterprise

I quickly begun to experiment with natural ingredients from my kitchen and Lo and behold, this combination worked magic up to this day.

I can’t recall the pain and to this day, this product became a healing oil so trustworthy to my family in curing, soothing, removing pain.

I developed because of the increasing demand, producing 6 lines of products ranging from, Hair Growth Oil, Facial Cleanser Lotion, Eye Ageing Serum, Therapeutic Bath Salt, Body Wash, Massaging Oil and Skin / Hair Balm.

All of these products being insured and having successful results on all types of skin.

In the past three years, my company name has expanded from FABWEAVES to FABWEAVES Enterprise Ltd a 100% natural brand.
